84, of Johnston, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 5, 2014. Born in Johnston, he was a son of the late Antonio and Maria (Macera) DeFazio.

Alfred was a member of the R.I. Farm Bureau and the Governor Dyer Market. He enjoyed farming and working in his greenhouses, as well as playing cards and socializing with his friends at the Kelly Gazzero Post.

He is survived by his loving children, Alfred DeFazio and his wife Patricia of Cranston, Donna DeFazio-Quinn and her husband Stephen of Henniker, NH, Paulette DeFazio of Naples, FL, daughter-in-law Debbie DeFazio of Johnston and the late Eugene M. DeFazio; cherished grandchildren Amanda, Charlotte, Erika, Kristen, Mitchell, Gia, Tian, and great grandchildren Jameson and Joshua; dear sister Ella Raymond of Johnston. He was the brother of the late Angelina Cardarelli, Louisa Pisaturo, Margaret Parrillo, Mary Tyburski, Jenny Cardarelli-Mello, Michael DiFazio, Pasquale DeFazio, and Antonio DeFazio.


Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco's Church, 927 Atwood Ave., Johnston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Monday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. In honor of Alfred, please continue his generosity towards others by performing random acts of kindness.
