Alfred J. Tessitore

88, of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Cedar Crest Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Cranston. He was the beloved husband of Jeraldine A. (Pezzullo) Tessitore. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Virgilio and Catherine (Cataldo) Tessitore and stepson of the late Mary (DiMaio) Tessitore.
Alfred was a WW-II U.S. Marine veteran. He was the owner of the former PDQ Jewelry Company in Providence.
Besides his wife, he was the father of Alfred Griffith of Orlando, FL; Deborah and Denise Griffith of CA., Robert Rossi of Cranston, Shirley Rossi-Rivera of Lakeland FL, Michael Rossi of Cranston, Arthur Rossi of Nashua, NH and Jennifer Tessitore of Cranston; grandfather of eight; great-grandfather of one; and brother of Jill Wilkicki of Cranston, Virginia Caccia of Lincoln and the late Fernando Tessitore and Elena Forchione.
His Funeral Service with military honors will be held on Friday, August 15th at 11 a.m. at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Inurnment at Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter will take place at a later date.
