Alfred W. Tortorella

86, of Cranston, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Marion (Filonow) Tortorella. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Domenic and Lauretta (Guglielmo) Tortorella. Mr. Tortorella was employed at Frito-Lay for over 50 years and was also a Teamster with Local Union No: 64. Alfred also was a Korean War Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post, John Ruggiero Post #78.

He is survived by his loving children Michael T. Tortorella, Robert W. Tortorella and his soulmate Denyce Rocchio, Maria D. Tortorella, Donna M. Tortorella and her husband Doug Tarnopol, all of Cranston, and Andrea M. Robertson and her husband Ken Robertson of Glocester. He was also the cherished grandfather of Julia and Nate Robertson, and brother of the late Richard and Thomas Tortorella. Besides his immediate family, others mourning Al include Sarah Rose Rocchio, daughter of Denyce Rocchio, beloved by Al, and many nieces and nephews. He also loved his canine family Izzi, Hank, Emma, and Annie. His funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by burial in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Friday 4-8 pm.
