Alma E. (Vanner) Miller

82, of Cranston, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick A. Miller. They had been married for 58 years. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Edmund and Delia (Leveille) Vanner, she lived in Cranston for 57 years. She was a graduate of the Presentation of Mary Academy, Hudson, NH. Alma worked for the State of RI for 28 years, 17 years as a Buyer for the Division of Purchases. She was a vigorous reader and a dedicated supporter of the Cranston Public Library for many years.

She leaves a daughter, Kelly A. Miller of Cranston; a son, Ian F. Miller of Cranston; a granddaughter, Rachel K. Miller of Cranston; and her great granddaughter Willow Miller of Cranston. Alma was the sister of the late Mary Vanner Ouimette and Pauline L. Vanner. The Miller family extends their appreciation to Dr. Kelly McGarry for her kindness and support for Alma over the years.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 28th, at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
