Americo W. Merolla

87, of Johnston, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015 at the Morgan Health Center, Johnston. He was the beloved husband of the late Carmella (Santosuosso) Merolla. Born in Providence, a son of the late Giuseppe and Erminia (Marino) Merolla. Mr. Merolla was an insurance salesman for John Hancock for over 30 years until his retirement.
He is survived by his loving children, Joseph Merolla of Johnston and Linda Agin of Cranston, his cherished granddaughter Stephanie Meade and her husband Christopher of MA. He was also the dear brother of the late Augustino and Domenic Merolla.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 11 am in St. Rocco's Church, Johnston. Burial will be private and visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
