86, a longtime resident of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late John R. Blackmar, (U.S Army, Ret.). Born in Republic of Panama, she was the daughter of the late Enacio and Elisia (Santamaria) Quiel.
Ana was an active member at St. Mary's Church, Cranston and its consoling prayer group.
A devoted Mother, Christian and Humanitarian, she provided unconditional love and spiritual guidance to her family, friends and many of the Parish members and their extended families.
She was the devoted mother of Byron J. Blackmar and his wife Christine of Johnston, Jasmin G. Blackmar and her husband Karl E. Schuberth of Cranston, Joyce A. Anderson and her husband Walter G. Anderson, Jr. (RISP, Ret.) of North Kingstown and the late George W. Cunningham, Jr.; loving grandmother of Leah A. DiBiasio and her husband Danny, Maxwell J. Blackmar, Tyler J. Blackmar, Cassidy L. Nimblett, Jared S. Nimblett, Walter G. Anderson III, Brendan H. Anderson, Michael R. Anderson, Patrick H. Anderson, and the late Terrance H. Anderson; and loving great-grandmother of Tavi M. DiBiasio. Ana is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Monday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
