ANGELA I. (ZOMPA) PAOLINO

91, of Providence, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 3, 2017.  She was the beloved wife of the late Angelo V. “Andy” Paolino. They were married for 50 years. Born and raised in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Donata Zompa. Angela lived in Johnston and North Providence most of her life and most recently in East Greenwich.

Angela will be remembered for her deep devotion to family which was the focal point of her life. She was an excellent cook and especially known for her delicious pizza. Angela also excelled at sewing and design and showcased her work at The Clever Hand in Sudbury, MA for many years. An avid golfer, she enjoyed many rounds with lifelong friends at the Alpine Country Club. Her wit, generosity, and warmth will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

She is survived by her three devoted children, Patricia Cardi, James V. Paolino and his wife Paula, and David A. Paolino, all of East Greenwich, and six cherished grandchildren; James A., Leah, Johna, Laura and Nicholas Paolino, and Gregory Cardi. She also leaves her beloved niece, Dolores Zompa, and several other nieces and nephews. Angela was predeceased by four brothers, Frank, Luigi, John and Pasquale Zompa.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in St. George Maronite Church, (formerly St. Ann Church) 1493 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Thursday 4-7 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be made to St. Mary’s Home for Children, 420 Fruit Hill Avenue, North Providence, RI 02911.
