Angelina (Pari) Sorbo

91, of Cranston and Ft. Lauderdale, FL, suddenly passed away on February 27, 2023.  She was the wife of the late Giovanni Sorbo.

Born in Marzano Appio, Caserta, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Fiorentino and Lucia (DiMeo) Pari.

She leaves two children, Umberto Sorbo of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Gianna Joanne Lazieh of Cranston; two grandchildren, Alec Lazieh of Cranston and Natalia Sorbo of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; her siblings Elda DeFusco, and Donata Tarabelli of Montreal, Canada.  She was the sister of the late Rita Zinno, Romilda LaVilla, Severino Pari, Angelo Pari, and Catherine Brundage. She was the mother-in-law of Gloria Sanz Rogers and George Lazieh.

Throughout her life, Angelina was known for her kind and compassionate nature, which endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her.  She had a gift of making people feel welcome and loved, and her infectious personality and positive energy drew others to her like a magnet.  From family and friends to neighbors and acquaintances, everyone who crossed paths with her couldn’t help but be touched by her warmth and generosity of spirit.

For Angelina, family and cooking were inextricably linked.  She found joy in preparing meals for her loved ones and loved nothing more than seeing them gathered around the table enjoying her fabulous food and each other’s company.  Her devotion to her family and her love of cooking will always be remembered as the defining qualities that made her such a special and beloved person in the hearts of all who knew her.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 11am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston.  Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.  VISITING HOURS Saturday from 9-11am.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center.
