Angelo DeRobbio, Jr.

95, of Amy Drive, Cranston, died on Monday, April 24, 2017.  He was the loving husband of Loretta (Ciocchi) DeRobbio.  They would have been married 65 years this October.  Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Angelo, Sr. and Josephine (Box) DeRobbio.

Angelo worked as a construction worker for many years.  He worked for almost 25 years for the Leviton Manufacturing Company.  He was a skilled cabinet maker.  In his youth, he loved playing baseball.  He was an avid New York Yankees fan.  He followed the career of his favorite Yankee, Joe DiMaggio.  He enjoyed watching westerns, gardening, and landscaping his yard.  He thoroughly enjoyed using his John Deere tractor “with the engine in the back.”

Besides his wife, he is survived by his beloved children, daughter Mary-Jo, son Angelo III, and daughter Nancy.  He was the brother of Dolores Iasimone of North Providence, Lucy Coppolino of Johnston, and the late Carmino DeRobbio, Rose DiChiaro, Mary Supino, Viola Zannelli, Josephine Rotondo and Anna Picozzi.

His funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Cranston.  Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are Saturday morning from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m.
