88, of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Miriam Hospital in Providence. Angelo was the husband of Dorothy (DeLeo) DiMascio. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Paul and Mary (Bertone) DiMascio, Sr. Mr. DiMascio was an Army Veteran serving in the 82nd Airborne during WWII. He worked in construction for over forty five years, before his retirement. Angelo was an avid Yankees fan, loved spending his winters in Florida, but his biggest joy in life was being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his five children; Paula Jenkins and her husband Jonathan of Cranston, Angelo DiMascio, Jr. of Florida, Maria DiMascio Zannella and her husband Robert of East Greenwich, Paul DiMascio and his wife Lori of Cranston, and David DiMascio of West Warwick. Angelo was the grandfather of Kimberly, Jonathan, Erica, Courtney, Briana, Karissa and Dean; great grandfather of Mia, Grace, Luke, Cole, Chloe and Cooper. He was the brother of Paul, Loretta, Domenic and Agnes DiMascio.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston at 10:00 a.m. Burial, with Military Honors, will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the, Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Avenue, 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851.
