Angelo Moretti
89, of Lincoln, Atria Senior Living, formerly of Phenix Avenue, Cranston, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Rose (Palumbo) Moretti. Born in Coventry, he was a son of the late Giuseppe and Marianna (Fera) Moretti. Mr. Moretti was a merchandiser for Coca-Cola for over 40 years until his retirement; he worked for H&R Block, was a member of the Holy Name Society, a member of the choir at St. Bartholomew's Church and an active member of the Cranston Senior Center and the Silvertones.
Angelo is survived by his loving children, Sandra Mattia-Weinzierl and her husband Doug Weinzierl of Lincoln and Robert Moretti and his wife Lorna Fossa-Moretti of Smithfield. He was the cherished grandfather of Lisa Mattia-Adams, Kenneth Mattia, Briana Moretti and Brandon Moretti; he was also the great-grandfather of Alyssa Rose Adams and Christopher Adams. Angelo was the brother of Maria Mazzenga and Oliva Petrilli, both of West Warwick.
His funeral will be held on Friday at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bartholomew's Church, Providence. Entombment will take place in St. Joseph's Mausoleum, in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
