born on May 18, 1938, in Providence, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully at her home on September 25, 2025. She was the cherished daughter of Vincenzo and Mary (Arzano) Saccoccio and devoted wife of the late Dennis C. Almonte.
Throughout her life, Ann Marie dedicated herself to her family, a testament to her pride in being a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked diligently as a secretary in the Mayor's office for the City of Cranston before retiring, where her contributions were well-regarded by colleagues and community members alike. Ann Marie had a great love for reading books and loved spending time at the beach.
Ann Marie is survived by her three beloved sons, Dennis Jay Almonte (Joanna), Christopher Almonte (Tracy), and Timothy Almonte (Lynn). She found immense joy in her grandchildren: Drew Edwards Almonte, Victoria Almonte, Jami Almonte (Marc) Rachel Almonte (Jack), Nicholas Almonte, and Alex Genao, as well as her great-grandchildren, Mark and Joey. Her love for her family was the cornerstone of her life, and her legacy will undoubtedly live on through them.
She also leaves behind her brother, James Saccoccio (Maureen) and her nieces and nephews, who, alongside the family and friends she held dear, will deeply feel her absence.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 11am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Tuesday from 4-8pm.
