92, of Texas Ave., Providence, passed away on Easter Sunday, March 27th, 2016 at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, RI in Providence surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late John Chirichella. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Alvina (Cantone) Russo.
Ann worked in the jewelry industry and later at Stop & Shop in Johnston for many years before retiring; and was a member of St. Augustine's Church. She dedicated her life to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A great cook, Ann was best known for her apple pies and pepper biscuits. When she wasn't cooking, she loved spending time in her garden.
She was the devoted mother of Carol A. Chirichella of Smithfield, Janet A. Chirichella of Warwick, John P. Chirichella and his wife Paula of North Providence, Steven P. Chirichella and his wife Helena of Johnston and Anita A. Chirichella of Providence; loving grandmother of six; loving great-grandmother of six; and dear sister of Madelyn Travelyn, Ida Acciardo, Alfred Russo and Elizabeth Fluery, all of Johnston, and the late Vincent Russo, Jr., Mary Paiva and Florence Centofanti.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Thursday, March 31st at 8:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Augustine's Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
