Anna (Markarian) Basmajian
92, formerly of Seamans Ave., North Providence, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015. She was the beloved wife for 57 years of the late John Basmajian. Born in Worcester, MA, she was the daughter of the late John and Rose (Aslanian) Markarian.
Anna worked at General Electric Wiring Device in Providence for 32 years retiring in 1984. She was an active member of Sts. Vartanantz Church where she enjoyed baking for church festivities.
She was the devoted mother of Charlene B. Bannon and her husband Peter with whom she lived of Narragansett; loving grandmother of Luke J. Bannon and Julie D. Bannon; and dear sister of Harold Markarian of Chicago, IL, James Markarian of Shrewsbury, MA and the late Cora Bedigian.
VISITING HOURS are TUESDAY MORNING from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in STS. VARTANANTZ ARMENIAN APOSTOLIC CHURCH, Providence, followed by a FUNERAL SERVICE at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
