86, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 19, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore F. Brusco. Born in Belmonte, Calabria, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Rosa Ianni.
She was the loving mother of Salvatore “Sam” Brusco and his wife Maria Eguia-Brusco of Cranston, Roseann Brusco of North Providence, Kathy DeLellis and her husband Robert of Coventry; loving stepmother of Marianna Prince and her husband James of Cumberland, Donald Brusco and his wife Terri of Wolf Creek, Oregon; cherished grandmother of Joseph DeLellis, Gianna DeLellis, James Brusco, Raymond Brusco; step-grandmother of Robert Harrison, Cheryl Myren, Cynthia Heroux; step great grandmother of Tracy Pascale, Robert Pascale Jr., Jason Pascale, Alexia Heroux, Avanjolique Heroux; step great-great grandmother of Robert Pascale III; sister of Antonia Brusco of Buenos Aires, Argentina. She was the sister of the late Bonaventura Ianni, Salvatore Ianni, and Giovanni Ianni.
When Anna first came to this country, she worked at California Artificial Flowers (Calart) in Providence. Shortly thereafter, she was welcomed into the homes and lives of many in Cranston as a housekeeper for 30 years. Later in life, she frequented the Senior Center and Hope Center in Cranston.
While Anna always worked very hard, she was best known for her strength and determination, comical sense of humor, and amazing Italian cooking. She could often be found tending to her many flowers and vegetables in her ever-expanding backyard garden. Additionally, although Anna never lost herItalian heritage, she was very proud to be an American citizen. And finally, a devout Roman Catholic, Anna was very religious and appreciative of all she had in life, especially her family and friends. She was loved affectionately and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Matthew’s Church, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m.
