Anna L. (Silva) Coia

of Simmons Village in Johnston and recently of Cranston, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Kent Regency in Warwick.  Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Anna (Ciccio) Silva. Mrs. Coia worked as a CNA at Cranston General Hospital for many years, until her retirement.

She is survived by her daughter, Ann Marie Costa of Cranston.  Anna was the cherished grandmother of Peter P. Costa, Jr. and Christina Marie Capalli, and also great grandmother of Rachel Capalli.  She was the dear sister of Grace Smith, Ethel Jacobs, Helen Tavares, Roy Silva and is predeceased by many brothers and sisters.  Anna was the godmother of Gregory Lee Silva and Scott Anthony Silva, and also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 11 a.m.  VISITING HOURS: Thursday 4-7 p.m.  Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
