97, of Johnston, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Heritage Hills Nursing Home, Smithfield surrounded by her loving family. Born in Johnston, she was a daughter of the late Cosmo and Alfonsina (Piemonte) D'Acchioli.
Anna was employed in the administrative office of the Almac's warehouse for nearly 20 years before her retirement. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Rocco's Church and one of the founders and a Past President of their Women's Guild. Anna was the beloved matriarch of the family. She was an accomplished cook and prepared meals for her family and friends for over 75 years. She also enjoyed making doughboys at the annual parish feast.
She is survived by her dear siblings, Cosmo D'Acchioli, Lena Mansolillo, Catherine "Kay" D'Acchioli, and the late Domenico "Tim", Andreana "Annie", Olindo "Pop", Ernest, Crescenzo "Christy", Joseph D'Acchioli and Mafalda "Muffy" DiRaimo. Anna is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Friday at 9:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Rocco Church, Johnston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be held on Thursday from 4-8 pm.
