Anna M (Gelardi) Massarone

91, of West Warwick passed away on February 16, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.  She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred Massarone.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Gelardi, Jr. and Anna (Gacicia) Gelardi.  Anna worked for the Providence School Department and at RI Hospital Trust National Bank for many years until her retirement. Anna was a longtime resident of Johnston and was an active member of the Johnston Senior Center, playing cards and going on trips. She also volunteered at St. Robert Bellarmine Church teaching CCD classes and staffing the food pantry. She loved animals and donated to the Human Society of the United States.

She is survived by her loving children: James A. Massarone of West Warwick, Stephen A. Massarone and his late wife Ann Marie (Almagno) Massarone of Johnston, Lorraine A. Massarone and her husband Domenic Corsi, Jr. of Cranston, and Ronald A. Massarone of Johnston. She was also the cherished grandmother of: Nicholas S. Massarone of North Providence and Kimberly I. Massarone of Winter Garden, FL; and dear sister of: Joseph P. Gelardi and his wife JoAnn of Braintree, MA, Rita J. Santoro of Smithfield and the late: Nina R. Caminiti.
Her visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4-7 pm in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Her funeral will be held on Thursday morning at 9am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Johnston.  Burial will take place in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston.
