Anna Mae (Tashjian) Mourachian
88, of North Providence, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Trinity Health & Rehabilitation Center in Woonsocket. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert "Bob" Mourachian. Born in Troy, NY, she was the daughter of the late Musrob and Satnig (Patanian) Tashjian.
Anna Mae was co-owner and operator with her late husband of the former Carvel Ice Cream at the University Heights Shopping Center in Providence for 18 years retiring in 1996. She was a member of Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church and the Daughters of Vartan.
Anna Mae was the devoted mother of Melanie A. Beckemeyer and her husband Terry of West Chester, OH and Robert P. Mourachian and his wife Ruth of Tiverton; loving grandmother of Traay Camara of Warwick; and dear sister of John Tashjian of Castleton, NY, Jack Tashjian of Troy, NY and the late Joseph, George, Elizabeth and Mary Tashjian.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Saturday, March 21st at 11 a.m. in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence, with a "Hokejash" - Mercy Meal following the funeral service. Burial will be private and visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
