Anna M. (Saccoccio) Nevola

91, of Cranston, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Cra-Mar Meadows in Cranston. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Nevola. Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Marcello and Filomena (Palumbo) Saccoccio. Anna was a seamstress and co-owner with her husband Joseph at the former Harvard Cleansers for 20 years before retiring in 1991. She enjoyed baking, flower gardening and ceramics.

She was the devoted mother of Janet S. Barrow and her husband William of Cranston, Anna M. Autieri and her husband Robert of Cranston, Joseph J. Nevola, Jr., Ph. D. of Silver Spring, MD,  and the late Thomas M. Nevola, MD; loving grandmother of Alicia A. Mancini and Julie L. Lange; three great-grandchildren; dear sister of Mary Ricci of West Warwick, Dorothy Piacente of Exeter, Viola Tortolani of Woodland Hills, CA, Majorie Briggs of Warwick, Marcello Saccoccio, Jr. of Cranston and the late Fred and Pasquale “Pat” Saccoccio.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Monday, August 1, at 11 am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by interment in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Hope Hospice & Palliative Care RI, 1085 N Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
