94, of Warwick, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary (Ancona) Bucci, with whom he shared 67 years of marriage. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he was the devoted son of the late Pasquale and Rose (DiMuccio) Bucci.
Anthony proudly served his country during the Korean War as a member of the United States Army Signal Corps. He was assigned to the Joint Military Mission for Aid to Turkey, where he honorably fulfilled his military service. Following his military career, Anthony enjoyed many successful years as a life insurance agent and financial advisor. He earned the distinguished Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation from The American College of Life Underwriters. Throughout his professional career, he achieved numerous honors, including Life Membership in the Million Dollar Round Table, one of the insurance industry’s most prestigious organizations. He also served as an instructor for the Life Underwriter Training Council of Rhode Island and was repeatedly recognized for outstanding sales achievement by Phoenix Mutual Life Insurance Company and John Hancock Insurance. In recognition of his exceptional career accomplishments, he was inducted into the Phoenix Mutual Hall of Fame. Anthony was an active member of several professional, civic, and religious organizations, including the Life Underwriter Training Council, Toastmasters of Rhode Island, and the Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Church in West Warwick. Beyond his professional pursuits, he found great enjoyment in playing golf and took particular pride in cultivating the flower gardens at the family home, a passion that brought him much joy throughout his life.
Anthony was the father of Anthony W. Bucci, Jr. (Cindy), Andrea M. Valentini; and John P. Bucci (Semra). He was the proud grandfather of Kristine Bucci (Carl Brehm), Tara Bucci, Roberto Valentini and Gianni Valentini. He was the brother of Pasco “Pat” Bucci, Brenda Sepe, Joyce Calitri, Eugene Bucci and the late Ralph Bucci, Lillian Sabatini, Carmela Alviti, Grace Errico and Herbert Bucci.
His funeral will be held on Monday, June 29th at 10 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Rd. Warwick at 11 am. Burial with military honors will be at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are Monday morning from 9 am to 10 am.
