Anthony Budway

86, died peacefully at home Thursday, December 22, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Kfarsghab, Lebanon on January 17, 1936. Married for 62 years, he was the beloved husband of Maureen (Badway), and son of the late Toufic and Martha Budway (Samia). In addition to his wife, he is survived by his 4 children Martha Badway, Anthony, Mary Lane and Vincent. He was predeceased by his daughter Kay Murphy. He leaves 9 adored grandchildren and 5 cherished great-grandchildren. He was the dear brother of Mary Samuel, Louis Budway, Budwee Budway and the late Christine El Laban all of Australia. He also leaves many beloved nephews, nieces and cousins.
He lived in Lebanon for about 14 years and then migrated to Australia in 1950 where he lived for about 11 years before moving to the United States in 1961. He was a resident of Rhode Island for nearly his entire life working in the jewelry manufacturing industry as a plant manager at Coro and Providence Metalizing.

He travelled all over the world. The countries he visited included Argentina, Australia, Bahamas, Canada, Columbia, England, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Singapore which he thoroughly enjoyed. He made 57 trips to Australia for family visits and family weddings. His favorite past time was visiting casinos all over the world with many vacations to Las Vegas. He was loved and will be missed by many family and friends.

His funeral  will be held on Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the Nardolillo Funeral Home  followed by a service at 10 a.m. in St. George's Maronite Catholic Church, 1493 Cranston Street, Cranston.Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

VISITING HOURS: Monday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.
