Anthony Catuto

90, of Cranston, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Hogan) Catuto. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Vincenzo and Maria (Vallante) Catuto.
In WWII he served with the U.S. Army in Normandy receiving two Purple Hearts and other service medals of honor. For many years he worked as a Model Maker for Coro and Kotch companies retiring at age 62. Anthony loved woodworking and golf, making a hole-in-one at age 80 and another at age 82.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Michael Catuto of Attleboro and David Catuto of Cranston; stepchildren David Soccio and his wife Jessica of Cranston, Valerie Nadeau and her husband Jeffrey of Chepachet, Karen Brennan of Cranston; grandchildren Jason Nadeau, Christopher Nadeau, Jessica Glick, Ryan, Evan, Olivia, Nicholas Soccio and great granddaughter Sydney; brother Alfred Catuto and his wife Gail of Oregon.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Wednesday at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Rocco's Church, 927 Atwood Ave., Johnston. Burial with Military Honors will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. VISITING HOURS will be Wednesday morning from 9 - 10 a.m.
