it is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Anthony who left us on January 13, 2026 at home in Providence. He was born on July 13, 1971, to parents Anthony J DelVicario and Diane Picerne DelVicario (deceased).
Anthony was a devoted Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). He worked for many years at the George N Hunt School at Tides Family Services and was devoted to children and young adults in crises. He attended Portsmouth Abbey School, Boston University where he received his BS and the University of New Hampshire where he received his MS in psychology and social work. He was known for his deep love of music, especially reggae music, which reflected his easygoing spirit and appreciation to life's simple joys; often setting the tone for laughter and togetherness.
Anthony is survived by his 2 sons, Matthew and Dyllan; his brothers, Dax and his son, Dante, Daniel Piccoli, David Piccoli; sister Dana Beretta and her husband Victor; nephews Jonathon Piccoli, Nicholas Piccoli, and Jacob Beretta; his partner Christie Robbins.
Anthony's life will be celebrated at Nardolillo Funeral Home, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. The calling hours are from 4-7PM.
Anthony's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 21st at 10AM in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston.
In honor of Anthony DelVicario's memory and his commitment to the George N Hunt School at Tides Family Services, 260 Highland Avenue, Providence, RI, the family kindly requests in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to them. Your support will help these children of our communities.
