Anthony V. DeSimone, Sr

81, of West Warwick, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of 59 years to Janice (Van Ness) DeSimone. Anthony was born in Providence, a son of the late Pellegrino and Angelina (Armenti) DeSimone. Mr. DeSimone worked in the Auto Body Industry many years until his retirement; he also was a Korean War Air Force veteran.
Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, Anthony V. DeSimone, Jr and his wife Anne of Smithfield, Stephen DeSimone and his wife Patty of Attleboro, MA and Julie Tennett and her husband Robert of Cranston. He was also the cherished grandfather of Ashley, Anthony III, Brittney and Robert; dear brother of Matt, Ralph and John DeSimone and Mary Lapati. Anthony was also the brother of the late Stephen and Carmino DeSimone and Josephine Lauro.
His funeral will be held on Friday at 8:45 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Sacred Heart Church, West Warwick. His burial with military honors will be private. VISITING HOURS: Thursday 4-8 pm.
