77, of Foster, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at home. He was the beloved husband of twenty-six years to Linda A. (Borino) Benedetti DiBona. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Giacomo and Filomena (Tedesco) DiBona. Anthony was a chef and the owner of the former DiBona’s Italian Kitchen in Johnston, and the owner of the former Giacomo’s Restaurant in Cranston. He was also a chef for other various restaurants in Rhode Island and Florida. Anthony was a US Army veteran serving during the post Korean War era. He was a member of the American Legion, Commanders Club and the DAV Folcarelli Chapter #1, Johnston. He was a devoted Patriots Fan.
Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, Gina M. Rossi and her husband Joseph, Jr. of Cranston, Robert J. Benedetti and his wife Laura of Foster, and Anthony J. DiBona, II of Foster. Anthony was the cherished grandfather of Victoria Rossi, Olivia Rossi, and Victoria Ferrara. He was the brother of Louise DiBona of Cranston, Kathleen Donato of Providence, John DiBona, Esq. of Cranston, and the late Marie Gentile, Evelyn Montuori, and Cynthia DiBona.
His funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will be in Rhode Island Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.VISITING HOURS Monday 4-8 p.m.
