Anthony P. "Chunky" Ferri

81, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Cherry Hill Manor, Johnston. He was the beloved husband of the late Maria (Santosuosso) Ferri. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Anthony and Frances (Martinelli) Ferri. Anthony was employed as a tax examiner for the State of RI for 20 years before retiring. Previously, he was a self-employed barber in the Thornton section of Johnston for many years.

He is survived by his loving sons, Anthony V. Ferri, and Frederick R. Ferri and his wife Kerri of N. Scituate; cherished grandchildren, Frederick, Zachary, Anthony and Joseph Ferri; dear brother of the late Richard Ferri. He also leaves his loving companion Geraldine Spirito and her granddaughters Leah Spirito, Chunky’s “partner-in-crime”, and Erica Plante.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 11:00 am in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
