74, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2023.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Alfred and Olga (DiBiasio) Russo.

Mr. Russo earned a bachelor’s degree in general science from Providence College and a master’s degree from Rhode Island College in elementary education.

He taught in Providence Catholic Schools and later worked for the RI Food & Drug Administration, retiring from the RI Department of Health as a microbiologist.

A sports fan, he loved the Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics.

He leaves his sister, Virginia M. Driggers and her husband Gregory of West Kingston; two nephews and a niece, Scott Driggers, Glen Driggers and Jenna Lapushner and her husband Mikhail; and a great nephew, Alexander Lapushner.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday November 15, 2023 at 9:45am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory – SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, (Rt. 1A), Narragansett with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Road, Kingston.  Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS Tuesday from 5-7pm.
