Anthony “Tony” G. Izzo of Scituate passed away on July 15, 2026, with his family by his side. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Ralph C. and Gloria (Iannelli) Izzo. He was the devoted husband of Dina (Izzi) Izzo.
Tony was a graduate of Johnston High School and received his college degree from Northeastern University and Roger Williams University. Prior to his retirement he was a construction inspector for many years. He valued life’s simple pleasures and found great joy in time spent with his family. He was a cherished husband, father and grandfather, roles he held with pride. He often looked forward to the next family gathering, enjoying good company and even better food. He enjoyed playing pool and relaxing at home watching his favorite Westerns.
Besides his wife, he leaves his two sons: Dr. Anthony F. Izzo, and his wife Lisa of Whitinsville, Massachusetts, as well as his son Daniel and his wife Lauren of Cumberland, Rhode Island. He was a devoted grandfather to Luke, Sean, Benjamin, and Daniel. He was the brother of Elizabeth “Betty” Izzo‑Ricci and Angelo Ricci (deceased). He also leaves several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
At his request, all services will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Massachusetts General Hospital via https://givingmassgeneral.org. Please designate gifts to Vascular Surgery Research or MGH Peripheral Artery CT Disease.
