77, of Johnston, Rhode Island, passed away on October 25, 2026.
Born to the late Dominic and Enid (Salvas) Rainone, Anthony was a gentle, kindhearted, and loving man whose greatest joy in life was his family.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of more than 50 years, Dorothy (Houle) Rainone, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and cherished memories. He was the devoted father of Anthony "Tony" Rainone and the proud and adoring grandfather of his precious granddaughter, Isabella Rose, who held a very special place in his heart. Dorothy, Tony, and Isabella were truly the center of his world.
Anthony is also survived by his sister, Nancy Kortelbeaute; his loving niece, Jeanette D'Antuno; his in-laws, Joseph and Jeanette D'Antuono; and many other dear family members who will forever cherish his memory. He also leaves behind his cherished doggie companion, Zelda, who brought him so much love, comfort, and companionship.
Anthony had a special way of showing his love, and more often than not, it was through his cooking. Nothing brought him greater happiness than gathering family and friends around the table and preparing something wonderful for them to enjoy. His legendary baked stuffed shrimp and pepperoni rolls were more than just favorite dishes; they were expressions of his generosity, warmth, and the love he so freely shared.
Professionally, Anthony enjoyed a long and accomplished career as a mechanical engineer, dedicating more than 40 years to Leonard Valve. Earlier in his career, he also shared his knowledge and expertise as an instructor at Hall Institute.
Above all else, Anthony will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his generous heart, and his unwavering devotion to those he loved. His legacy lives on not only in the memories he leaves behind, but in the love, kindness, and family traditions he passed along.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
