82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 31, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Armand and Marie (Ragosta) Vigeant.
He is survived by his former wife Joan Vigeant, and their three children, Steven Vigeant and his late wife Louise of Smithfield, Michelle Low and her husband Gary of Warwick, Debbie Perrille of Johnston, six grandchildren, Steven Jr, Brittany, Alisha, Gary Jr, Erik, Ronnie; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the beloved brother of Armand Vigeant and the late Marie Wolfenden and William Vigeant.
Anthony was a machinist at Brown and Sharpe for many years, before becoming the owner and operator of Mr. V’s food truck, which he ran for over 20 years in Johnston. He made many friends along the way. His business was a staple in Johnston, where many would stop by for a late-night meal and good conversation. He had a lifelong interest in building and flying remote-controlled airplanes and served as a flight school coordinator with the South County RC Club, where he shared his knowledge and experience with others. He also loved riding his motorcycle, and you always knew he was nearby with Elvis Presley music playing. He enjoyed dancing, especially the cha cha and jitterbug, he spent many evenings dancing with friends at local dance venues and was a member of the Cajun Zydeco Dance Community. Anthony also enjoyed spending time with his family, sharing coffee and catching up. “Cream, no sugar, extra hot.” A favorite gathering was summer cookouts with his children and grandsons. He lived a good life, and in the words of Frank Sinatra, “I did it my way.” He was loved and he will be sorely missed.
