Antonetta McQueeney

Antonetta McQueeney, 89 of West Warwick passed away Thursday April 13, 2023 with her family by her side. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Berardino and Filomena ( DiGiovianni ) DiMascia. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert G. McQueeney.

She was a Personnel Aide for the State of Rhode Island for 39 years. She enjoyed cooking and hosting holidays with her family by her side. Antonetta, alongside her granddaughter and nieces, had a yearly tradition of making Christmas cookies for family and friends.  Early Saturday mornings she could be found shopping on Federal Hill. She loved soaking up the sun, whether it be at the beach or sitting on her porch. She was an avid sports fan, her favorites being the New York Yankees and the PC Friars. She was also an avid tennis player.

She was the beloved mother of Patricia Gatta, and her husband Ken, and also Robert G. McQueeney, Jr. and his wife Rhoda Driscoll. She was the devoted grandmother of Kelsey McQueeney and her fiancé Nikolis Zicuis, Kyle McQueeney and his wife Alisha. She was the sister of Rose Senerchia, the sister-in-law of Joan Briggs and James McQueeney. She was the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her three siblings Josephine Ginolfi, Maria Colaiacomo, and Benito DiMascia.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday April 19, 2023, at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence Street, West Warwick. VISITING HOURS will be held Wednesday morning from 8:30 – 10:30am at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston. Burial will at St. Ann’s Cemetery.
