Antonetta Francesca Monacelli Trafford

85, of Providence, entered into eternity on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. Antonetta was the wife of the late Ernest E. Trafford. She was a daughter of Vincenzino James Monacelli and Agensina Elizabeth Fiore-Monacelli-DeCorpo. Antonetta worked as a comptroller for over forty years, before her retirement. For many decades she was a faithful member of Holy Cross Church, and was active in the Women's Guild and sang with their choir.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Trafford of Providence, Jean Trafford of Warwick, and Ernest E. Trafford, II. of Providence. Antonetta was the cherished grandmother of Jonathan Trafford-Seabra, Alexandria Carnevale, Lynda Trafford-Couto and Ernest E. Trafford, III. She was the sister of Margaret Monacelli-Vendetti, Phyllis DeCorpo-Dela Cruz, and the late Vincent Monacelli, Generoso "Anthony" Monacelli and Joanne Monacelli.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Christian funeral service in NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 11:00 a.m. VISITING HOURS are Monday MORNING from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will take place in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. A memorial mass will be scheduled 10:00AM, Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Holy Cross Church, Hartford Avenue, Providence, RI.
