Antonette 'Toni' M. (Silvestri) George
of Cranston, passed away on Saturday October 17, 2015 at the Evergreen House Health Center, East Providence. She was the beloved wife of Anthony L. George. Born in Newport, she was the daughter of the late Michelangelo and Carmella (Vannelli) Silvestri.
Antonette was employed as a secretary for New England Telephone for 15 years before her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Cranston, where she attended daily mass for 22 years. She was an avid traveler and a fantastic cook and baker. She also was a member of the Red Hat Society for the past 6 years.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving children, Michelle Lombardi of Cranston and Leslie George Lareau of Lehigh Acres, FL. She was the sister of Edward Silvestri and his wife Miranda of Johnston, and the late Michael Silvestri.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. on Thursday at 9:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Mary's Church, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery. VISITING HOURS are Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 pm.
