passed away peacefully on December 3rd, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Antonio was born on October 4th, 1935 in Sant’Ambrogio (Frosinone) to Giovanni Battista DiCicco and Maria Grazia Fargnoli DiCicco. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Gina DiCicco, daughter, Adrienne DiCicco, and his two grandchildren, Isabella Veader and Adriana Veader, of Lincoln, RI. He is also survived by his two siblings, Carmelo DiCicco of Coventry, RI, and Erminia Armenti of Providence, RI, as well as six nieces and one nephew. Tony and Gina were married in Italy on September 25th, 1961.
Tony began his career at the deli of Colonial Food Store, eventually taking ownership of the business in 1969 and, with his wife Gina, transformed it into the Tony’s Colonial Food that remains today. Tony was proud of his heritage and passionate about bringing the authentic Italian experience to Federal Hill. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him, would say he was charismatic, generous, hardworking, and a family man. Tony was a self-educated man, who loved to travel, read, and play soccer. He will be loved and missed by his family, friends, and the Italian community.
His Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held on Wednesday, December 10th at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Tuesday, December 9th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.
