78, of Cranston, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014 at RI Hospital, Providence. Antonio was the husband of Josefina (N) Vargas. Born in Naga City, Philippines, he was the son of the late Vicente and Amelia (Delatorre) Vargas. Mr. Vargas worked as a machine operator for over twenty-five years, before his retirement.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his six children; Edith V. Vinalon, Alex N., Victor N., Gerardo N. and Raquel N. Vargas, and Venus N. Earley. Antonio was the loving grandfather of eighteen. He was the brother of Lando T. and Miguel T. Vargas, and the late Alicia V. Bagaporo.
His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Matthew's Church, Cranston at 11 a.m. VISITING HOURS: Thursday 4-8 p.m. Burial will be private.
