Apkar Lefian

of Cranston, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017 at Kent Hospital in Warwick.  He was the beloved husband of Sonia (Vartanian) Lefian. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Nazaret and Serpouhi (Garabedian) Lefian.

Apkar worked in the jewelry industry for many years and was the former co-owner with his brother Ara of Elite Jewelers in Cranston. He was an accomplished saxophone player and jazz enthusiast.

Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Manya Lefian and Gregory Lefian both of Los Angeles, CA; dear brother of Harry Lefian of Cranston and the late Ara Lefian; and loving uncle of several nieces and nephews.

VISITING HOURS are FRIDAY MORNING from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m.  Burial will be at North Burial Ground, Providence.
