91, of Cranston, passed away peacefully at his home on January 20, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie (McCormick) Pirolli. Born in Providence, RI he was the son of the late Michael and Domenica “Mamie” (Parrillo) Pirolli.
He is survived by his loving and devoted partner of 25 years, Joan Pedersen. He was the father of 6 children, Robert Pirolli of Pompano Beach, FL, Steven Pirolli and his wife Judy of Spring Hill, FL, Carol Pirolli of Pacifica, CA, Ronald Pirolli Ret. CPD and his wife Stephanie of Warwick, Richard Pirolli and his wife Pamela of Venice, FL, and Michael Pirolli Ret. CSP and his wife Andrea of Lebanon, CT. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Peter, Michael and Beatrice (Cucca) Pirolli.
Arioste served as a Corporal in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a retired Providence Police Officer serving in the Traffic Division. He was also a retired electrician from the University of Rhode Island. Al served as the treasurer for the Local #94 for many years. He was an avid softball player and coach for the RI Senior Mens Softball League. He was a member of the Retired Police and Fire Association, and was a volunteer for the RI Special Olympics.
