Armando Cionci

91, of Johnston, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2015, at Rhode Island Hospital. Providence. He was the beloved husband of sixty-four years to Evelyn (Pezzuco) Cionci. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Frank and Jenny (Merino) Cionci. Armando was a machine laborer for the former Stanley-Bostich Company of East Greenwich for forty years before his retirement. Armando was an avid sports fan and gardener, as well as a US Navy veteran serving during WW II. Besides his wife he is survived by one son Rick Cionci and his spouse Lynn Whitely of Cranston, and was the father of the late John A. Cionci who passed away February 11, 2015. He was the cherished grandfather of John Cionci and his wife Leann of Johnston, and was the great-grandfather of Lainee Cionci. Armando was the brother of the late Olga Criscuolo, and Emma Dominicone. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will be private. VISITING HOURS Thursday morning 8:00- 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
