89, of Hollywood, FL, formerly of Cranston and recently a resident of Tockwotton on the Waterfront, passed away peacefully on Monday November 16, 2015 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of 49 years of the late Evelyn (LaFazia) Evangelista. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Eduardo and Clorinda (Baratta) Evangelista.

Mondo was the Founder & President of World Trophies in Providence. He enjoyed dancing, traveling and most of all spending time with his family.

Mondo is survived by his loving sons, Stephen Evangelista and his wife Elaine of Jamestown, David Evangelista and his wife Tricia of Jamestown and Peter Evangelista and his wife Jayne of North Kingstown; dear brother of Romolo Evangelista and the late Robert, Gino and Joseph Evangelista; cherished grandchildren David and his wife Mandy, Stephen, Nicole, Lauren and her husband Matt, Meryl, Ben, Ally and Emily and 2 great-grandchildren, Gilly and Sam. Mondo also leaves his loving companion, Doris Minerley.

Funeral procession from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Saturday at 10:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston. Burial will be private. VISITING HOURS will be held on SATURDAY MORNING from 9-10:30 am.
