of King Philip St., Providence, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband for 64 years of Anne R. (Orsi) Cesino. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Biagio and Jennie (Vitale) Cesino.
Arthur worked at the Providence Police Department before retiring. He was a WW-II U.S. Army combat veteran and recipient of a Bronze Star Medal for heroic action in Germany.
Besides his wife, Arthur was the devoted father of Michael A. Cesino of Narragansett and Steven A. Cesino and his wife Denise of North Scituate; loving grandfather of four; and dear brother to twin sisters Rose Manzo of Providence and Edith Nista of Cranston, the late Robert, Alfred, Pasquale, Romeo, Anthony and Rita Cesino and Mary Folgo.
His Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held on Friday, June 30th at 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Ave., Providence. BURIAL WILL BE PRIVATE. VISITING HOURS are Thursday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.
