Barbara (DelGigante) Tomasso

92, of Cranston, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 10, 2026 at the Hope Health Hospice Center in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph N. Tomasso. Born to Joseph and Marie DelGigante in Providence.

Barbara was a former bathing cap model for the Davol Rubber Company in the early 1950s. She was employed by the State of RI and later as a school lunch lady in Cranston.

She is survived by three daughters, Beverly Tomasso, Barbara Tomasso Ricci (Thomas), Vivian Mendonsa (Joseph); sister of Beverly Straffin; granddaughters Noelle Gallison (Timothy), Shelby Mendonsa (fiancé Matt), and two great grandchildren Camden and Colton Gallison. She was the sister of the late Robert and Norman DelGigante.

Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, April 16th at 8:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Wednesday April 15th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
