Barbara M. (Stone) Messier

74, of Johnston, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence.  She was the beloved wife of John A. Messier.  Born in Hudson, MA, Barbara was a daughter of the late William and Marian (Hill) Stone.  Barbara was a factory worker for many years until her retirement. She loved to crochet especially snowman, travel in the summer to find perfect ice cream and travel to New Hampshire any time of the year for turkey dinner.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her two sons, Michael A. Messier and John J. Messier and his wife Audrey, both of Johnston.  Barbara was the cherished grandmother of Marissa Messier and John Messier, Jr.  She was the great grandmother of Arella and Ezlynn. Barbara is survived by her nieces Linda Reach and her husband James and Donna Folmsbee and her husband Eric; great-nieces Kimberly Minear and Emma Folmsbee.

Her funeral service will be held in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Johnston. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
