61, of Cranston, passed away peacefully at home on Friday October 9, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Daniel Morrocco, Ret.Captain PFD. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Doris (Squizzero) Pallotta of Providence and the late Arthur Pallotta. Barbara was a school teacher for the Warwick School Department for 35 years before retiring. She loved her family especially her grandchildren and enjoyed Sunday dinners with her family. Barbara earned the 1993 National Catholic Educational Association Teacher of the Year Award. She also enjoyed boating. Besides her husband she was the devoted mother of Kerri Sobel and her husband Jason of West Warwick, Allison Sgambato and her husband Joseph of Stoughton, MA and Kate Pelopida and her husband Kyle of Cranston; loving grandmother of Brayden Sobel and Isabella Sgambato. Dear sister of Thomas Pallotta of Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Rd. Cranston, followed by committal prayers in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick. VISITING HOURS: Tuesday 5:00- 9:00 p.m. at the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston.
