Barbara J. Simonelli

Our hearts are broken as we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Barbara J. (Geremia) Simonelli, 86, of Cranston, on Friday, May 8, 2026. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Irene (DePastina) Geremia, and the wife of the late Anthony Simonelli.

She is survived by her two devoted daughters, Pamela Grasso and her husband Richard, and Ava Simonelli-Bent and her husband Jeffrey. She was the cherished grandmother of Richard A. Grasso and his wife Ciara, and Dean A. Grasso and his wife Nicole; and the adored great-grandmother of Aviano Grasso.

She was not just our mother; she was our confidant, our biggest cheerleader, and the heart of our family. Her compassionate heart touched many lives and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
