Barry A. Leoncavallo

79, of Johnston, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, January 10, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (Matarese) Leoncavallo for 52 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Anthony and Rose (Signore) Leoncavallo. Barry had a distinguished career as a foreman for the Johnston Highway Department, for many years.

Throughout his life, Barry enjoyed various hobbies and interests that brought him great happiness. He took pleasure in trips to Bally’s Twin River and was an avid Patriots fan, passionately following the sport. However, his most cherished role was that of a grandfather. He was immensely proud of his granddaughters, Erin and Sofia, and treasured the time he spent with them and his family.

Barry is survived by his loving son, Mark Leoncavallo and his wife, Jackie, of West Warwick. He was the cherished grandfather of Erin and Sofia Leoncavallo, and the brother of Barbara Nardolillo of North Kingstown, and Richard Leoncavallo Utah. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 14th, at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Tuesday 5:00-7:00 p.m.
