Bernice A (Alviti) Giramma

Bernice Alesandra Giramma (Alviti), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2023, at the age of 79 in Naples, FL. Bernice was born on April 15, 1944, in Providence, Rhode Island, to Italo and Elena (Mariano) Alviti. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Richard Alviti and Linda Alviti.

Bernice, known for her kind, caring, and fun-loving nature, was a true life of the party. She was adored by her family and friends for her warm-hearted personality and infectious laughter. Bernice will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

After completing her education at St. Matthew School in Cranston, RI, and Cranston High School East, Bernice dedicated 29 years of her career as a Teaching Assistant in the South Kingstown School Department. She was passionate about working with children and making a positive impact on their lives. Upon retirement, Bernice embraced her new role as a loving Nana to her cherished grandchildren.

In her leisure time, Bernice enjoyed traveling and playing cards. These gatherings were filled with laughter, friendly competition, and cherished memories. Bernice's love for her grandchildren was immeasurable, and she found immense joy in spending quality time with them.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Bernice will be held at Living Hope Church 703 South County Tr, North Kingstown, RI on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 10:30 am. Family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by Bernice are invited to attend and pay their respects.

Bernice is survived by her devoted husband, John Giramma; loving son, John Giramma Jr.; caring daughter, Gina Giramma; adored grandchildren, Sebastian, Victoria, Gianni, and Federico Giramma, and a host of other family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

May Bernice Alesandra Giramma rest in eternal peace, and may her legacy of love and kindness continue to inspire us all.
