Biagio F. Cefala

84, of Johnston, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, January 5, 2015, at Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Fiorina (Mazzei) Cefala. Born in Calabria, Italy, he was a son of the late Giuseppe and Lucia (Raso) Cefala. Biagio was employed by Narragansett Improvement Company as a plant manager for many years before his retirement. He had previously been employed by the former Leesona Manufacturing Company as a machinist for seventeen years.

Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, Lucia Buccieri and her husband Joseph of Clermont, FL, Florence Abilheira and her husband Anthony of Narragansett, and the late Joseph Cefala. He was the cherished grandfather of Maria and Julio Buccieri, and Joseph and Isabella Abilheira. Biagio was the brother of Angela Montesanti of North Providence, Rose Caporale, Josephine Isabella, both of Italy, Maria Pino of Johnston, and the late Francesco and Raffaele Cefala.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Thursday 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Robert's Church and Charitable Ministries, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston, RI 02919.
