Bounthanh Prasavath

We mournfully announce the passing of Venerable Phra Ajahn  Bounthanh Prasavath our head abbot of Wat Lao Buddhovath of RI on the evening of February 27, 2022.

Prior to his ordination as a monk, he was the beloved husband of the late Douangpy Southivong; devoted father of Phathaviphone Thounsavath and her husband Kong of Cranston; loving grandfather of Kindly, Judy, Sunny and Ruby; and dear brother of the late Ms. Thel.

VISITING HOURS are Saturday, March 5th in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

His Funeral Service will be announced at a later date.

Prayer Services will be held at the temple located at 88 Limerock Rd., Smithfield, RI every Saturday & Sunday starting at 5 p.m. until his funeral service.
