Brian M. Holland

85, of Narragansett, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 20, 1940, in Providence, he lived a life defined by devotion to his family, steadfast service, and lasting friendships.

Brian dedicated 35 years to Narragansett Electric, where he was respected for his leadership and proudly served as Union President of BUW local 310. He was well respected while always advocating for his colleagues with integrity and commitment. He also owned and operated B.G. Cleaning Company, reflecting his strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit. A proud member of the U.S. Army Reserves, Brian carried the values of service and duty with him throughout his life.

Known for his warmth and easy conversation, Brian had a remarkable ability to turn acquaintances into lifelong friends. Nothing meant more to him than his family, whom he proudly regarded as his greatest blessing. A devoted sports enthusiast, he faithfully cheered on the New York Yankees and New York Giants. Some of his most treasured memories were made alongside his son, sharing countless games together — from Providence College basketball to Brown and URI football.

An avid golfer, Brian enjoyed spending time on the course with many of his closest friends. He was a lifetime member of the Bonnet Shores Beach Club, serving on the nominating committee. Brian was a familiar face at Trattoria Romano in Wakefield, where Friday evenings were reserved for good food and great company.

He is survived by his son, Gary M. Holland; his niece and nephew, Karen Webb and Stephen Holland; and many extended family members and dear friends. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 47 years, Mary E. “Marybeth” (Logee) Holland; his parents, Edward W. and Wilhelmina (Holbrook) Holland; his brother, Edward Holland, Jr.; and his sisters, Kathleen "Kathy" Roberts and Mary Jane Lovett.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory – South County Chapel, 1111 Boston Neck Road (Rt. 1A), Narragansett.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meeting Street School or the American Cancer Society.
